Welcome to the multipactor.org website, dedicated to the multipactor effect. The multipactor effect is an avalanche like electron growth occuring inside space RF components in vacuum. The aim of this website is to better understand the phenomenon and to give access to a modelling tool able to determine the RF power threshold.

It also possible to know more about the Iris-SEY which is a user-friendly simulation software for multipactor effect inside iris structures which can be found in many RF components. Initiated and funded by CNES, Iris-SEY has been developped by the Artenum company and is available under the GPL license.
